Founded in 1889 by John Mathias Bernhardt in Lenoir, North Carolina, Bernhardt Furniture has evolved into one of the largest family-owned furniture companies in the United States. With over 135 years of history, the company is renowned for its commitment to quality craftsmanship, innovative design, and the use of uniquely beautiful materials. Today, Bernhardt operates eight manufacturing facilities in North Carolina, six international offices, and has sales representatives in 50 countries.

Deeply rooted in western North Carolina, Bernhardt is committed to supporting its local community.
